Scam Awareness
Immigration fraud is common. Be cautious if someone:
- promises a guaranteed visa or approval
- asks you to pay government fees by personal transfer, gift cards or crypto
- asks for your original passport or keeps your documents
- pretends to be a government official or calls threatening you
- is an unlicensed office offering “legal advice”
How to protect yourself
- Verify the license of anyone representing you
- Pay government fees only directly on official websites
- Keep copies of all your documents
- Ask for a written agreement on fees and services
